Your packing list for a safari

Ideally, you should travel with soft suitcases. This makes it easier to store all your luggage in the safari jeep. For domestic flights (from Tanzania to Zanzibar and back), there is a baggage allowance of 15 kg per person. Only soft suitcases are permitted. If you have more luggage, the airline will charge additional fees. But a soft suitcase isn’t the only important thing!

You should also bring the following items with you:

• Mosquito repellent (Tropical Ultra)
• Vaccination certificate, passport, visa
• Flashlight
• Binoculars
• Power adapter (three-pin British plug adapter or universal adapter)
• External power bank for charging all devices
• Photo and video camera with additional memory
• Sunscreen
• Cash (US dollars for tips)
