Safari clothing in Tanzania

During the day, when it is hot, you can wear shorts and T-shirts, preferably in khaki colors. Mosquitoes are attracted to dark colors such as black or navy blue. Therefore, it is best to wear light-colored clothing.

In the evening or during a night safari, it is recommended to wear long pants and a long-sleeved shirt to protect against mosquitoes. Bring a sweater or jacket with you, as it can sometimes be cool outside in the evenings. Arusha is located at an altitude of 1,400 meters, and the Serengeti is even higher at 2,000 meters.

There are lodges with a pool, so don’t forget to bring your swimwear!

Zanzibar is a strongly Muslim island. Please remember to dress appropriately in Zanzibar and keep your shoulders and knees covered when outside your hotel.
