With their passion for Tanzania, Mayra Markies from the Netherlands and Ally Hamad from Tanzania run the travel company. They know Tanzania very well and are always pointing out surprising things to discover on your safari in Tanzania. The two are supported by Anthony, who is responsible for the day-to-day business in the office in Tanzania, and Athman, who is responsible for support in Zanzibar.

As tour operator we work directly on site with our team in Arusha, while the headquarters of Tanzania Unique Adventures GmbH is located in Switzerland. Your booking directly benefits the local population. With your booking, we support the elephant corridor of “Save the Wildlife & Wildlife Corridor” (STWWC) and donate a bee box on your behalf. In addition, many lodges and hotels support the conservation and protection of natural areas and invest in local infrastructure such as schools, hospitals, etc.

To ensure you have a relaxing trip, we are a member of the Swiss Travel Association (STAR) and Swiss Travel Security (STS). As a member of STAR, we are committed to adhering to strict quality and ethical standards. This membership gives our customers the assurance that they are working with a trustworthy and professional tour operator. In addition, membership of STS offers our customers additional security and protection during their travels. Swiss Travel Security is a security fund that offers protection to customers in the event of the tour operator’s insolvency. This means that customer funds are protected in the event of unforeseen events and customers can embark on their trip without any worries. In addition, we are also TALA- (official tourism license) and TATO-registered (member of the Tanzania Association of Tour Operators).
